I would agree with Mike Olsen that it is a BAD IDEA to build a new application on Azure Table Storage, as Microsoft appear to be deprecating it (although it's not completely clear what they regard as a replacement, DocumentDB seems most likely)

It's difficult to use ATS as it stands for anything real. We built our own indices in SQL, which of course introduces exciting new consistency issues. One index is just too little - basically that gives you the ability to move data in and out by an identifier, but not do anything else with it.

Thanks for the feedback. We agree, and we’re looking into doing this in the next calendar year.

In the interim, if credit card limits are a concern, you do have the option to pay by check or wire transfer. Please contact Support to get this set up.

Thanks for the feedback. We’re working on a lot of great stuff and will continue to expand the functionality in the preview portal to match the full portal over time. You’ll see things like this become available over time.

Also note, this got a lot MORE important with V12 Azure SQL, which no longer has a gateway service in front that retries some transient errors.

"Gateway no longer provides retry logic in V12 Before version V12, Azure SQL Database had a gateway that acted as a proxy to buffer all interactions between the database and your client program. The gateway provided automated retry logic for some transient errors.
V12 eliminated the gateway. Now your program must more fully handle transient errors."

Methods to deal with it include setting SqlAzureExecutionStrategy and CommitFailureHandler for Entity Framework, or using ReliableSqlConnection to replace SqlConnection; or write your own retry code (don't forget to take into account what happens when connection is lost during commit!)

Screenshots are one of the most useful additions to support requests, and there is no way to do it for this new support tool.

I also find it very odd that a flagship feature of Azure (Websites/Webapps) is not actually supported.
We're finding ourselves very lacking in options having used Webapps, but I expect Microsoft themselves to support it!!
