This is something we’re thinking about, but would like to ensure that we’re providing a sufficiently robust set of capabilities within the template language syntax itself.

What scenarios are “overly complicated and hard to maintain”? This will help us understand where we need to invest.

Elio, I believe the question is to foresee something where we can disable/suspend an IoT hub, so that it does not cost any money. This is typically something we can use during test/acceptance phases, where the IoT hub can be enabled for performance / integration tests, but disabled when no longer used.

    Thanks for the feedback Tom.

If I understand this scenario correctly, you want to be able to use a U-SQL Catalog almost like a NuGet feed? So that for example, someone could pull and register assemblies into their VS Projects from a U-SQL Catalog. Do I have that right?

Exactly. It's really important that we can build "losely coupled" solutions on this. Ideally the communication services would just publish events to which actors can register/subscribe.

Yes, this is something we also need! We have to create hundreds of ASA jobs and a lot of them include PowerBI output (real time dashboarding)
I believe it's because of the authentication dance, but this really blocks us from automating the provisioning of our solution.
Is this something that is being planned for ?

    Thanks !

Please check the new capability we recently unveiled called Wrangling Data Flows, available in preview! Wrangling Data Flow allows you to discover and explore your data using the familiar Power Query Online mashup editor to do data preparation, and then execute at scale using Spark runtime.
