Its been 4 months since the above comment.
End of support for 2008R2 is Jan, and this is blocking infrastructure change for me.
Could you give us an update please.

I'm updating our network to WS2019
I have have exchange 2010 on 2008r2 with all my mailboxes in EXO - supported until Jan
    I cant install exchange 2016 on ws2019
No hybrid license for exchange 2019 so I would have to purchase a full version through volume license plus re-licience my server all over again to get the ammount of OSEs I need to run the extra vm required $$$$$$$$$

Can someone from icrosoft explain the upgrade path please.

All this to change a few attributes!

We’re really pleased to let you know that we’ve released the first authentication method APIs to public preview:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/graph/api/resources/authenticationmethods-overview

So far there are APIs for managing phone numbers and password resets. When phone numbers are set with the API, the user can use that number for MFA and SSPR (as allowed by your tenant’s policy).

The team is hard at work at building out APIs for all of the other authentication methods, and we’ll update the response here as they’re released.

Disappointing when msonline module keeps telling me its depreciated.
Surely its less work to maintain one module than two.
Get the missing functionality into AzureAD and only then can you retire msonline

We are working on this but we don’t have a public ETA to share at this time. We will keep you updated as we get closer.

I just came across this. and was sad to see its so old.
I just changed my EWS app to use an SPN for login with OAuth instead of basic as per microsoft recommendations.
Not sure if it is all secure though as I cant audit the login.
The only way I think it may have worked is beacuse I turned off Legacy auth.

    Not great security auditing microsoft.
