We have released the Authentication administrator and Privileged authentication administrator roles that can manage the authentication methods of the user. If you are using Azure AD Premium, consider enforcing MFA on the user using Conditional Access. We are continuing to work on other roles that will let you manage other MFA settings.

Please raise the priority on this request, it is long over due, need a role for help desk staff to manage MFA. Assigning Global Admin for the administration of MFA is just plain crazy, us Global Admins have better things to do than to be bothered all the time customers call in to have there MFA reset. Get with the program MS.

Agreed that the date needs to be set correctly.

Today, you can use conditional access to enforce MFA on a per-group basis. This is Microsoft’s recommended enforcement model.
We will be updating the per-user enforcement of MFA to more closely match how conditional access works, but this is still in the design phase.

What is the hold up? Enabling per user is getting tiresome.
