    As per ticket I logged with MS;

    I really understand your concern, but please be aware that Azure Update Management only manages operating system updates.

    Additionally, there are two workaround you may have a look:
    1. Using Windows Server Update Services: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-server-update-services/get-started/windows-server-update-services-wsus
    2. Custom update using System Center Updates Publisher: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/sum/tools/updates-publisher

    So whats the point in using Azure Update Manager if you have to use SCCM to roll out other updates?

    You have a few options today:

    - startup scripts from GPO’s would be the most generic way to install and configure the agent. Command line to silent install as well as script snippets on how to enable/disable/configure thru COM API are documented here https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/operational-insights-direct-agent/

    - Powershell magazine came up with a DSC module that allows you to install the agent that way http://www.powershellmagazine.com/2014/11/26/dsc-resource-module-for-microsoft-monitoring-agent-install-and-configuration-for-azure-operational-insights/

    - if the machines are in Azure, there is a VM extension http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/easily-enable-operational-insights-for-azure-virtual-machines/

    I agree this would be immensely handy - find inactive accounts, etc.

    Can't be that hard to enable.

    A smart attack approach would be to create app passwords where possible. Most users wouldn't even know they have one, and if you named it something like "HelpDesk - Do Not Delete" they would leave it alone even if they found it.

    Now you've got a login that bypasses MFA, and is not affected by password change.

    This is a crazy state to leave app passwords in!

    We have released the Authentication administrator and Privileged authentication administrator roles that can manage the authentication methods of the user. If you are using Azure AD Premium, consider enforcing MFA on the user using Conditional Access. We are continuing to work on other roles that will let you manage other MFA settings.

    Seems to work ok for me. I've assigned Authentication Administrator role via PIM and once user requests elevation the MFA options are visible via AAD.

    Looks like this may finally be sorted! :)
