    Hi folks,

We are evaluating what we can do to address this feedback and would very much appreciate your continued votes and suggestions on it.

One alternative to mounting the share on-premises over port 445 is Azure File Sync, which enables you to create a cache of an Azure file share on an on-premises Windows Server. Azure File Sync only sends data over the Azure Files HTTPS (using the File REST APIs). You can learn more about Azure File Sync here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/files/storage-sync-files-planning

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions!

    Thanks,

    Will Gries
    Program Manager, Azure Files

Please allow an alternative port option for file sharing. This is very important to our organization if we are to use this part of Azure services.

The software our company has created relies on merge replication taking place between clients and a localized SQL server instance.
We are moving all of our customers to the Azure cloud using a VM with and SQL instance to support merge replication - this requires us using Classic services to perform merge replication.
Is Microsoft working on incorporating merge replication in the Azure Database?
If so, when is the expected date this feature will become available?

Please make available the feature to change the subscription billing dates for Azure accounts.
    Thank you
