We are currently working to address #2 – granular controls for which group of users can use which methods. We’ll keep you up to date as we make progress. Thanks!

I'll add my vote to #2 - different factors allowed for different groups (ie privileged users & end-users). I see there are a few separate entries in Uservoice for #1 - restricting ability to register for MFA from external networks
Thanks for your interest on this feature. This capability is still in the pipeline. The initial estimate was obviously off and we are looking at a new timeline. We are aware of the benefit of having this rollover made automatic and the interest you have on the feature, and that’s how we are looking at it while prioritizing it against other capabilities requests.
Thanks for your patience!

Our apologies for not updating this ask earlier. Renaming Blobs is on our backlog, but is unlikely to be released in the coming year. Today, you can use the “Copy Blob” API as a workaround.
Using the Azure Files service you can address Azure Storage like a network share using the SMB2.1 protocol. This enables usage of normal Windows API’s to rename files and directories. You can get started with the Files service by visiting https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/storage-dotnet-how-to-use-files.
For any further questions, or to discuss your specific scenario, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

This feature is now on the roadmap. The MFA team is planning to adjust admin roles or create a new role that will allow delegation of MFA registration and credentials to an admin role.

We’re continuing design work in this area.
We’ll be wrapping up work soon, after making updates from feedback we’ve received so far. We should have a public date soon.
