The Storage limits seem daft, We have around 10 TB of database space on our on prem SQL Instance. We cannot move this to Azure Managed SQL Instance unless we have 2 instances which then increases costs drastically making it not even close to being financially sensible to do this.

8 TB limit when you can have much bigger limits on Azure VMs just seems daft.

Lack of TLS1.3 support is a major concern for us now as are getting tender requests which explicitly state TLS1.3 support is a must. Due to the fact that Application Gateway doesn't support it chances are we will have to replace the Application Gateways with an IaaS solution which does.

Ultimately Application Gateway is supposed to solve the problem of managing your own reverse proxy but in reality the inflexibility which comes with Application Gateway makes it's own problems which massively detract from the value we get out of it.

We’re addressing this need with “Service Tags” which allow network security group rules to refer to Azure services such as “Storage” or “Sql” and the list of IP addresses is maintained transparently by the Azure platform. See here for more information: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-network/security-overview#service-tags
We’ll be adding tags for additional Azure services over time.

Is there any ETA on this? It's a pain having to setup and maintain the list of IPs manually!
