This would be super great to have! as we are missing a proper way to do logging in enterprise scenarios!

You have a good point, for me ARM templates are fine, but you usually provide 2 stories/interfaces for your customers. Either templates or cmdlets. And to keep consistency between all your services, it seems weird that SQL RP does not have any cmdlets.

Actions such as "Copy DB" would be great to have as cmdlets, imho.

Thanks for reporting this! Our team will investigate adding a fix for these issues.

Jakob Gottlieb Svendsen (MVP) commented  ·

Stil reviewing? .. issue is still there and blocks the making of a "re-run"failed job runbook which can be used with OMS

any news on the review of this suggestion? It is very hard to debug errors in AA because of this. It has the same annoing issue as Orchestrator, which made it more complex to make runbooks as we always needed to send this detailed info out from the runbook outselves.

I discovere that alerts connected to runbooks also fails. I had to recreate the alert to make it work as the dropdown was grayed out

In the current implementation, Management groups CAN already be removed, but only once they are ‘stale’ == have not reported ANY data for >14days, the link to remove will appear.

The number of Directly reporting agents in ‘settings’ page is the actual number of servers registered, but the drill down will take you to search (where servers presence is inferred from the data).

We will be working on options to de-register directly connected servers, similarly to we offer for SCOM management groups.

Thanks for posting this feedback! I’m checking with our team to see if there is anything that we can do about this in the short term. We’ll definitely take this into consideration in our longer term plans.

The issue can be tested using this simple code:

    "a" * 1048577

Proxy support is now available for PowerShell script runbooks. PowerShell Workflow Runbooks will be targeted next.

Jakob Gottlieb Svendsen (MVP) commented  ·

any news about this part? .. There is a lot of customers out there who cannot connect to internet without proxy settings.

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt484104.aspx#To-remove-a-connection-from-Operations-Manager-to-OMS

To remove a connection from Operations Manager to OMS

You can remove the Microsoft System Center Advisor Secure Reference Override management pack to disconnect the Operations Manager from OMS.

Another way to stop sending data to OMS is to remove all Operations Manager computers that are registered to OMS.

thanks joe. I do that too. But that needs to be added within all InLineScripts too. so it can be quite a hassle to add it and remove it... :) it is of cause workable, but would be great to see them by default or have a on/off button
