Hi all – we could really use more information on the use cases you would like us to deliver with this feature. To quote Darrel’s post below:

Are you looking for some kind of UI in the portal to enable developers to subscribe to webhooks exposed by APIs?
Or are you looking for the additional security provided API Management to limit what events a user can subscribe to?
Do you want to correlate the API Management subscription ID with registered webhooks?
Any information you can give about the scenarios you would like help with would be great.

    Many thanks

It needs to be dynamic and very flexible.
It should be possible to both register for static web hooks, but more important you should be able to programmatically register callbacks via API-calls.

Just think about how you use and setup callbacks in a traditional windows desktop solution, the same flexibility is required.

    Features should include
    * Register server side filters to limit which callbacks you get
    * Support OnDoingXXXX with cancel, and OnDoneXXXX
    * Support nesting and recursion, i.e., an event should be able to call other APIs which in turn might result in new events. The original event is not done until it all winds up.
    * Support transactions. One server side event might result in multiple outgoing web hooks where the requirement might be that they all should succeed.
    * Super tight and native integration with Logic Apps, so a Logic Apps can natively be both incoming API endpoints, and outgoing web hooks endpoint. And this need to work seamlessly cross tenants, so if one company provides an API, the another consuming company should be able to "connect" a Logic App to the remote API Management instance, and new connectors and actions to use the remote API should just appear in the Logic App

Thanks for the feedback, we’re currently reviewing this capability to see how we can support RADIUS auth on NPS specifically, for AAD Joined Windows 10 devices to authenticate to WiFi access points

If there are scenarios beyond the above, please provide the details in the comments

Thank you for raising this issue. Addressing this is a long-term problem that should be addressed. While this will not be solved in the near future, improving this situation is something under discussion. I will keep this suggestion updated with any progress.

    Regards,
    Dale

    This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

If it is AI or not, does not matter, but there has to be one single solution where all event data is processed and managed.

Microsoft need to make all their product log data and events to AI, including Windows, SQL Server, IIS, CRM, Exchange and so on.

At the very least, include a few http related properties in a request....like referer and so on

Hi all, unfortunately we don’t have plans to share out a public roadmap. This is constantly changing as we’re listening to customer requests. We will continue to update feedback.azure items as they come up so feel free to suggest anything you are curious about.

Having different retention policies for different telemetry items is a very interesting feature request. Enabling this is fundamentally non-trivial, so please keep upvoting and including the use cases where this is necessary. Please keep in mind that you can today ensure retention longer than 90d by using continuous export to archive subsets of the telemetry to external storages/data warehouses of your choice.
    Best, Michael
