We’re currently evaluating an option that will provide the functionality offered by nested groups, but removes the complexity nested groups adds. We appreciate your patience on this ask and want to ensure we deliver a solution that benefits all of our customers. Below are use cases that we’d like for you to stack rank, with #1 being priority for you. We thank you for the continued comments and feedback.

Use case A: nested group in a cloud security group inherits apps assignment
Use case B: nested group in a cloud security group inherits license assignment
Use case C: nesting groups under Office 365 groups

More to that access to other services should be allowed only from the same tenant. Today e.g. if I know the connection string of SQL server then I can create power-bi service in any tenant and get all data from the SQL, there is no 2nd factor of protection layer due to this.

Any update on this? At least we need to know how it will be designed so that current AAD DS deployment can be planned to be future-ready.

Will, it also supports creating 1 VNET per region under AAD DS VNETS? And then the possibility to peer each VNET with other VNETS to expand the reach of Azure VMS (across subscriptions and region ) to single AAD DS?

    Hi,

    This suggestion has two parts:

    1. Use default route or forced tunneling on P2S client rather than split tunneling
    2. Enable Azure VPN gateway as an forward proxy to the Internet

At this point, these will be considered as long term roadmap items.

    Thanks,
    Yushun [MSFT]

This is also needed when local and global DNS names are the same.
Now need to add every entry in AADDS which is not possible to maintain.
So if AADDS can forward a request to Azure DNS, it would be great. Please keep note that AADDS and Azure DNS DNS zone name is same.
