As you mentioned, we initiate a change detection job once every 24 hours to enumerate the Azure file share and scan for changes. This is required for the Azure file share because Azure Files currently lacks a change notification mechanism like Windows Server has. Long term we will add this capability and have automatic immediate sync.

There is now a way to trigger sync to happen on files that are placed directly in the Azure File share. With this new cmdlet you can point sync to particular files or directories and have it look for changes right then. This is intended for scenarios where some type of automated process in Azure is doing the file edits or migrations are done by an admin (like moving a new directory of files into the share). For end-user changes, the best thing to do is install Azure File Sync in an IaaS VM…

Will forward to the mobile app team. You mean in the ‘search’ query editor you can select but you can’t copy/paste, right?

The best way at this stage is to, however, compose and save your ‘saved searches’ in the portal and then use them. the query editor on mobile is meant for quick ad-hoc modifications, not full scale editing :-)

If you notice the more recent IP’s are starting to provide information with what time the data refers to. There might never be a ‘global’ time window that all scenarios can snap to, but we are trying to make the tiles more informative as to what period they are showing.

Also in ‘my dashboard’ (where there IS a global time selector) you will have to deal with the time dimension, which can’t always be global – see the consideration that Stas wrote on his blog here https://cloudadministrator.wordpress.com/2014/10/19/system-center-advisor-restarted-time-matters-in-dashboard-part-6/

Currently, you can add your users fro the ‘settings’ page and invite either LiveID or AAD users/groups to access the workspace directly from https://preview.opinsights.azure.com/

You can have direct agents and SCOM management groups that live in different subscriptions than the one the workspace is linked to. The only scenario that is limited at the moment is ingesting data from storage accounts (WAD data). We are investigating for how many this is important enough to allow cross-subscription reading of Storage accounts.

Also read this other thread for an additional requirement we have heard in this area http://feedback.azure.com/forums/267889-azure-operational-insights/suggestions/6519233-improve-multitenancy-for-managed-services-provider#comments
