    Hey Conrad,

This is an amazing idea! For now, this tool can help you view and interact with your network: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=bencoleman.armview.

Additionally, documentation for Network Watcher topology view can be found here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/network-watcher/view-network-topology. I will forward your suggestion that this be made more interactive.

    Best,
    Allegra [MSFT]

That's the scenario! I'd like to restore a VM in Azure, which I've previously backed up with DPM to my Recovery Vault. This means:
    - adding a Storage Account as the restore target for Azure Backup.
    - I'll need my encryption key inserted in Azure, so I can read the encrypted backup from Azure Backup.
    - Lastly, I'll need the metadata of the VM uploaded to Azure, so I can relate the VM on-premises to the VHD backed-up to Azure. (when using templates for VM deployment, all OS disks often have the same name).

Apologies for the delay in response. The Azure billing team was recently reorganized with a renewed focus on building the billing experiences customers expect from us. The new team is excited to re-engage with the community and address gaps such as the one you’ve highlighted. This feature should light up fairly soon.

The status of this item has been moved back to Under Review. We initially planned to move to VHDX support as part of our support for HyperV Gen2 VMs, but we ended up using the VHD format for Gen2 VMs as well. Some aspects of the Azure Infrastructure do not cleanly support VHDX OS or data disks. So this feature is dependent on some of these internal services being updated which is an ongoing process.
