An error occurred while saving the comment Folks in the comments, are you still experiencing errors after looking into the troubleshooting article shared here?
An error occurred while saving the comment You don't need an Azure subscription to create a Support ticket. Just go to https://portal.azure.com/?#blade/Microsoft_Azure_Support/HelpAndSupportBlade
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi Clark, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with the verification process. Have you filed a case with Azure support yet? They're our entry point for resolving all Azure-related issues and can escalate to engineering teams, if needed.

We are always looking for ways to expand Azure into other countries. Keep an eye out for further expansion announcements.
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for your feedback, we'll definitely take this into account when we make expansion decisions.
An error occurred while saving the comment Hello and thanks for your post. Unfortunately Azure is not officially supported in Maldives at this time. However, Azure is regularly expanding so please check our list of available countries regularly here - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/billing-countries-and-currencies.

We are looking at additional alerts.
Thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi,
Are you referring to a credit amount update (like from a Visual studio account or free trial)?

We currently have to use credit or debit card to verify a new sign up. That said, we’re looking at other ways to verify identity, as well as ways to help with testing Azure without verification.
If you’re a student, you can enroll in Microsoft Imagine (https://azure.microsoft.com/offers/ms-azr-0144p/) which doesn’t require a credit card to sign up.
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for reaching out. We require a credit card as a form of identity verification. No money will be charged during the free trial period unless explicitly authorized.

Quick update,
We have been considering all of the risks and investigating the steps required to ensure we implement this feature with high positive impact and low to no negative impact.
After this investigation we have decided we will enable Pay-As-You-Go customers the option to configure a spending limit on a Pay-As-You-Go subscription, with appropriate safeguards and measures to prevent both service abuse and production service failure.
We have not yet finished determining the details of what this feature will look like, nor do we have a timeline for release, but we have heard your voices and have added this feature to our backlog.
Thanks for your continued feedback,
-Adam (Azure Billing Team)
An error occurred while saving the comment Question: are hard spending limits really what's desired here or would improved cost management/controls via billing alerts and similar serve a better purpose? Depending on how limits are implemented, the risk of bringing down production services is a very real danger. We're actively discussing/evaluating this feature (no timeline yet, sorry) and are really curious to get opinions and/or example use cases from our customers who are asking for this.

Thanks for the post , votes, and comments. We are aware of this limitation and are targeting sometime next year to improve this experience. In the meantime you can sign up for a new account in your desired country and transfer your assets to the new account via Support.

Hi there,
My apologies for how long this post has gone unanswered. The Azure billing team has undergone a transformation to ship features faster and improve our responsiveness to our customers. The new team is excited to re-engage with the community and deliver the features you need for a consistent and reliable cloud billing experience.
With that said, let’s break down this ask:
Azure currently accepts Credit and Debit cards, and provides a payment option through invoice for certain subscriptions that meet the appropriate criteria. (http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/offers/ms-azr-0003p/)
Supporting prepaid or virtual credit cards raises several concerns from a billing standpoint. Because of this, we currently don’t support this feature.
Other localized payment options through PayPal or other third party services are being considered for implementation in Azure, updates will be made available here.
If you have any further questions, please submit a new suggestion and we will be happy…
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for your feedback. We do support debit cards. We're working to make this clearer in the UX. Unfortunately prepaid cards and PayPal are not supported, but we'll investigate whether we can enable these options in the future.
Hi Nathan, we require your country code as a prefix for the VATID. Please try attaching your country code to the front of the VATID.
Thanks,
