Yep, I second to this.
We are looking into E2E telemetry and providing better analytics for our customers.
We’ve moved this ask to the backlog due to technical challenges in reserving Public IP addresses during stop state.

We’ve made progress on this scenario/pattern implementing message routing in the IoT Hub service.
You can today set rules (called routes) based on messages content or headers and have them sent directly to “custom endpoints” (today we support Event Hub, Service Bus Queues and Topics, Blob Storage). Learn more here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/iot-hub/iot-hub-devguide-endpoints#custom-endpoints
We are considering other custom endpoint types. Your feedback is welcome here.
We are currently not planning to support verb tunneling.
We suggest the use of MQTT for constrained devices.
We suggest to use device twin to handle configuration updates.
See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/iot-hub/iot-hub-devguide-c2d-guidance for more information.
We are considering pricing changes to address the daily quota inconvenience.
Thank you for your feedback!
We would like to add more robust OData support. I am placing this item in “unplanned” to be used in future planning sessions.

This idea is still in our blacklog. We are working to see if the functionality can be enabled with something similar to our low-priority VMs which are currently in preview.
