When running the index statistics I want to know the last time the index was modified. If I know an entity exists in my data source but I cannot find it in my index, knowing the index is stale would help.

Given Search is expensive would it also make sense to have a predicate that allowed certain data to be aged onto slower storage and therefore incur lower costs? Think of what SQL Server is doing with tables stretching into Azure
