An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for providing the feedback and we will definitely look into this idea.
In meanwhile, not as a solution to this completely but have you tried using tags for tracking details? we have introduced tagging while creation on most of the resources, so you may want to try using tags as well for tracking.
Let us know your experience on using tags as well.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi, Tim. We're listening and we are doing something about this :-) 400 people have voted on this today and that's very important to us. This one in particular is a very big change, so it'll take time, but we're definitely working on it.
An error occurred while saving the comment Looks like that was an accident. The status update was posted in the wrong place. I reverted the change. Thanks for catching that!

Hey Folks,
We have made some great progress on this idea and most of our services today do support move resources across groups.
We are still working towards 100% support and while we do that it would be great if you can help us prioritize the missing services.
Please file individual asks on each service category present in uservoice and vote for it.
Thanks,
Azure Portal TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Each service needs to implement this on their own. We (the portal team) are working closely with them to get it implemented as soon as possible. Feel free to post requests to each service you use so they know how important this is to you.

Azure Portal TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Hi, Mark. Classic VMs are hosted in cloud services, which use the Microsoft.ClassicCompute/domainNames resource type. You need to move the cloud service that hosts the VM when you move the VM.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hi, Dylan. I've thought about doing this in the past, but we haven't received any direct feedback about it. Thanks for sharing :-)
Do you expect the alias to be available to other users or do you see this as only a personal alias?
Michael
Hey Folks,
We have tried to make most of the Azure portal links to support tabbing during the build release. Specially the lists like "All Resources". We are also making sure wherever possible we add this support.
Please let us know your feedback.
Thanks,
Portal Team
