This is a limitation of Hyper-V and not related to Windows Azure Pack. Hotadd of hardwares requires that the VM is in an offline state. This will not be possible Marc

Thanks for the feedback, It’s great to see the comments with the different scenarios as well. We know this is important to some customers, and we are definitely looking into it!

Windows Azure Pack was designed to be widely used (Enterprises and Service Providers). In a Service Provider case, the use of Active Directory is not an option. So i guess the WAP team has decided to make a general authentication method and then offer ADFS for whom desiring authentication via AD. The idea is good to offer this out-of-the-box, but we all know that WAP is a Windows Azure like (maybe using the same codes, no AD auth out-of-the-box) and a 1 year old indeed.

Hi Ray, In the same vein of what Samir mentioned, there is a way currently for the admin to give a tenant a subscription so that when the tenant logs in, they already have a subscription and access to the resources of that subscription. Does that solve your scenario or were you looking for additional functionality?

    Hi Ray,
    - If you create a user from the New User Wizard, you are obliged to select a Plan to the user that will be created, therfor, the user subscription is not empty
How are you creating your tenants ? Powershell ?

We are reviewing a feature for disaster recovery for VMs. If you have particular ideas about the feature, please share with us here. Note that disaster recovery and backup/recovery are different features.

Yes, i think that an integration with a backup Solution (DPM, BE, Veeam, Altaro...) is a must if WAP will be used by a Service Provider for example. Starting integration with DPM out-of-the box is a nice feature.
