We’re really pleased to let you know that we’ve released the first authentication method APIs to public preview:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/graph/api/resources/authenticationmethods-overview

So far there are APIs for managing phone numbers and password resets. When phone numbers are set with the API, the user can use that number for MFA and SSPR (as allowed by your tenant’s policy).

The team is hard at work at building out APIs for all of the other authentication methods, and we’ll update the response here as they’re released.

Need an ability to create AAD groups via ARM templates and use them (in the same template) for role assignments.

To deploy a solution stack, we need a way to create few Service Principals (registered App) and grant permissions/consent (e.g. here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/consent-framework)
It'll be great to have AAD related objects being created via ARM templates and available through Azure blueprints/governance tooling

    1) All Azure DB (SQL DB, SQL DW, CosmosDB, SQL Stretch DB,...)
    2) Azure Key Vault
    3) Azure file storage - a version management (last X versions) will be great
    4) Azure Monitor - especially alerts, most of the team is used to creating alerts on the portal and forget about it. Not very repeatable for recreating in multiple environments.
    5) Azure web Apps - especially Wordpress apps.
    6) Runbooks - Would be great to have a version management built into it (e.g. last X changes)

Hey folks, thanks for the interest in this, and we have some good news to share. Configurable lockout is in development now (mostly done, actually) and we’re aiming for June or July public preview.

For configurable password complexity, length, etc, we hear you. Longer passwords are in planning now, and we’re thinking about our approach to how we want to enable the other configurability features. I don’t have any more details to share on this for now, but we do have interest in building features.

Is this feature now being planned?
Please advise on the availability of this. Looks like its been ~2yrs for this request

    any update on this?

FYI: we recently starting using the network watcher (topology). Works well for a small set of resources - ofcourse only from a N/W perspective.

Hoping that active Azure deployments can be visualized...

Apparently the teams w/i Azure manage their own ARM templates
I created a newer one here

As an Azure partner we published a template recently to the Azure QuickStart gallery.
We are working very closely with the Azure security and compliance team to review and publish it out as a guidance.

Check it out and let us know if it helps.

As a Azure partner dealing with standing infrastructure that's secure and compliant, we have experienced your pain several times. We are releasing a draft reference architecture based solution. Please check it out.

Today, you can use conditional access to enforce MFA on a per-group basis. This is Microsoft’s recommended enforcement model.
We will be updating the per-user enforcement of MFA to more closely match how conditional access works, but this is still in the design phase.

    +1 for this.

Specially for 'Owners' and 'Subscription co-admins'.
Compliance policies require us to do that.

    1) Please have MFA work with basic Azure AD (i.e. no Premium plans).
    2) Allow to work with Azure AD application (even with Premium plans, the MFA are tied only to users, not AD App/Service Principals)

Looking forward to the Auto-start feature on the VM (not just in the labs). This will complete what you started (auto-shutdown)

    Any thoughts on this?
Without a multi-tenancy monetization model, API management would not be a great fit for the APIs we are building. We prefer to not end up in Apigee or Mashery world.

Are there any plans for monetization?
