The web tests will automatically be deleted after 30 mins or so.

I accidentally delete the app insight before deleting the web tests. The delete button for webtests are all grayed out and it shows a small exclamation mark on web test icon. After 20 or 30 mins, those web tests are gone automatically.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently in public preview of static website hosting for Azure Storage to enable this scenario. Check out the blog post here for more details: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-storage-static-web-hosting-public-preview. The feature set includes support for default documents and custom error documents for HTTP status code 404.

For any further questions, or to discuss your specific scenario, send us an email at azurestoragefeedback@microsoft.com.

5 years... still under review? I need this feature as well. S3 has it. Thanks!

Thanks for the post , votes, and comments. We are aware of this limitation and are targeting sometime next year to improve this experience. In the meantime you can sign up for a new account in your desired country and transfer your assets to the new account via Support.
