Azure Storage support SMB shares and provides you with the commands to mount the share locally adding the mapping feature to the Azure Storage Explorer would be nice for those that prefer the GUI approach over the command line.

IMHO looking at Azure Function running on premises, if the backend store for the was enable to be replaced using dependency injection and custom triggers can be deployed on premises the functionality of Serverless Azure Function could then be hosted in side Service Fabric with a deployment of the WebJob/Function begin a stateless ServiceFabric listener?

Thank you for your feedback. More information is needed before we can take action on this request.

We’re considering supporting a push-API before document cracking and enrichment occurs. (this API would allow you submit data source update notifications (documents changed, updated, deleted, created) to Azure Search.

    Would that meet your needs?

    Thanks,
    Luis Cabrera
    Azure Search Product Team

There are multiple responses to this suggestion.

Support for SQL-like syntax for UPDATE, DELETE and INSERT INTO are not on our road map at this time.

However, the underlying functionality for an UPDATE, SET is essentially a PATCH. This functionality we are actively working on. See this User Voice item here to track for future updates. https://feedback.azure.com/forums/263030-azure-cosmos-db/suggestions/6693091-be-able-to-do-partial-updates-on-document

    Thank you for your suggestion.

This would be great for server side transformation of relational database structures into json documents where the relation data has been imported into CosmosDB but requires denormilisation to give performance and make better use of nosql concepts

For applications that require cross document join, please consider the Gremlin API: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cosmos-db/create-graph-dotnet, which has primitives for joins, traversals, and other graph operations.

We are evaluating expanding the SQL grammar to support graph functionality, which will provide the ability to perform cross-document JOINs. Please upvote this item to help us prioritize this work.

Azure Cosmos DB now provides the ability to access the change feed (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cosmos-db/change-feed). A common pattern to implement eventing patterns is

    1. Store every version/change as a separate item
    2. Read the change feed to merge/consolidate changes and trigger appropriate actions downstream.

You can also expire old versions using TTL: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cosmos-db/time-to-live

Reopening this user voice item as our support for Skip/Take (Offset/Limit) was only limited to single partition queries.

    Update.

The newly released .NET SDK v3 now includes support for x-partition queries using Offset/Limit. You can learn more about v3 SDK and try it and provide feedback on our github repo here.
    github.com/azure/azure-cosmos-dotnet-v3

We will also be back-porting this functionality to our .NET v2 SDK. This work will begin shortly and we anticipate it to be released in September.

Once that is released we will mark this feature as complete.

Thank you for your patience and votes.

I'm still having issues using the newest Data Management Gateway; the Gateway is failing to connect even though the machine can connect the oracle database using other applications ? and still reports the same message above?

NOTE: we aren't able to uninstall the Oracle Data Access Components on this system as it is used for other data processes.
