As we’re dealing with the integration of the Analytics portal into Log Analytics as well as moving the portal into Azure, implementation of this item is put on hold and re-evaluated.
An error occurred while saving the comment This feature is still pending the integration of the portal into Azure, planned for the next semester.

We’re currently planning a feature that will expose a repo of community-shared queries, which we think will answer this need as well.
The repo itself is available and open today at https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/LogAnalyticsExamplesWill update more as planning continues,
NoaAn error occurred while saving the comment This feature is still at the "planned" mode, with regard to community examples. Some out-of-the-box Microsoft examples are already available on the analytics home page.

While there’s no update to the status of this suggestion, you may find an interim solution for setting up alerts on the Smart Detection preview rules described in this article:
https://sway.com/oxuf7sCHqKD3BubJHope this helps.
Thanks,
HarelAn error occurred while saving the comment Push notification for Smart Detection alerts work was pushed forward due to other higher propriety work items, the status remains planned.

With the release of Azure Functions 2.0, the previously posted template no longer works.
However, we recognize the need for this request, and are actively scoping and prioritizing the work needed to make it happen.
I am very interested in speaking with anyone who needs this feature to learn more about your scenarios, particularly any information around cost issues. If you would like to help me scope this feature, please reach out: mogrobin@microsoft.com.

4/26/2019An error occurred while saving the comment The team has had to shift priorities, and we expect to complete the remaining UI pieces, and finalize the billing model in the April timeframe. Meanwhile, the TrackAvailability SDK is now available in the .NET stable SDK (https://www.nuget.org/packages/Microsoft.ApplicationInsights/).
Please note that when the feature is released as public preview, we may limit the number of tests, and the rate at which you can report results from custom tests. Also, while this will be free for you to try in public preview, there may be a billing implication for continued usage when this feature is generally available.
Please note that pending the UI changes, data sent via the TrackAvailability SDK will *ONLY* be accessible via the following:
1. In the Metrics Explorer, the 2 Availability metrics - Availability and Test duration, will be aggregates across all your tests, including custom (reported via SDK) and the AI executed ping/multi-step tests. You may segment these metrics by test/location etc.
2. In the Search Explorer - you can view raw results from all your tests
3. Using Analytics queries: All results will be available for querying
4. Alerts: The aggregate availability, and test duration metric will be available in the metrics dropdown, and include the results from custom tests.
5. Continuous exportsThe 2 key areas, custom tests will NOT be available from are the following:
1. The Availability exploration and diagnostics experiences.
2. Alerting on availability of specific test locationsThanks,
DashAn error occurred while saving the comment Thanks Antonio and Kaushik, for your comments on the SDK approach. We are looking to have support for this by the end of this year.

we have not closed on a plan at this time. As a workaround however, please note the update here: https://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/357324-application-insights/suggestions/14428134-add-alerts-based-on-results-of-analytics-queries. With the support for metrics derived from analytics queries, you can track an aggregate of the data received, and set a different number when there are no results. Let us know if that works for you.
