Hi folks,
We are evaluating what we can do to address this feedback and would very much appreciate your continued votes and suggestions on it.
One alternative to mounting the share on-premises over port 445 is Azure File Sync, which enables you to create a cache of an Azure file share on an on-premises Windows Server. Azure File Sync only sends data over the Azure Files HTTPS (using the File REST APIs). You can learn more about Azure File Sync here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/files/storage-sync-files-planning
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions!
Thanks,
Will Gries

the tweet from Cory "a month ago" was now 3+ months ago. Any updates on this topic?

Thanks for posting this! How large does the data set get with you are working with a function like Get-MsolUser with 1000 users? Also, how frequently do you rely one PowerShell Workflow functionality in your scripts vs. using PowerShell and making the script idempotent?

I’m dealing with now as well. Trying to work with 27000 users and running into all kinds of issues. Any resolution or update on working with large sets of Azure AD users?

We are focusing our provisioning integrations on standard based SCIM integrations. Once the app supports SCIM we can quickly onboard to our platform.
Learn about SCIM – https://Aka.ms/SCIMOverview
Request the app to be added in our gallery for provisioning (if it supports SCIM) – https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/howto-app-gallery-listing
