This is something we’re still actively working on. It has a been a big area of investment and it still is moving forward. We keep investing in performance, both from a client and server side perspective.
We have a few things coming in the near future which should help address some of the initial UI performance issues. We’re also heavily engaged with all of our partners driving a broad effort to improve performance across the portal for all experiences.
If you have any specific areas which are causing pain please feel free to reach out to me or comment and state if we can contact you, it would be great to understand the common pain points.

The new VM size selection blade has been extremely slow since it was changed to the list view. You cannot filter until it loads fully, which is very frustrating when you know you need 4 cores or a specific series of VMs. This is in Edge browser Microsoft Edge 41.16299.248.0 on Windows 10.0.16299

The current version of the DMA 3.4 exports reports to unusable json, but there is no summary or user friendly report that can be referenced or presented to non-technical people. A simple summary of issues and their category would be very helpful instead of having to run the DMA assessment to get a findings summary. There should be a much better format or selection of type of report, html, xml, pdf, or csv, etc. I have a 15.4MB json doc for a single database out of many.

This is something that we are looking at as part of bringing Cloud Services into the future. We’ll have more details in the coming months in this space and at that time we will provide more details on this feature.
Thank you for voting on this suggestion. It is now completed and can be done via custom Azure Policy. Here is a sample custom policy to apply a specific tag at the RG and have them inherited by the Resources in that RG: https://github.com/Azure/azure-policy/tree/master/samples/ResourceGroup/copy-resourcegroup-tag
Tag inheritance for existing resources is something that we plan to add support for in 2019.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Customizations of the My Apps portal for both end users and admins are on our roadmap. This includes providing the ability to re-arrange and group apps and as well as using a customizable domain.
Alongside this, we are looking at ways to expose these capabilities through APIs that allow customers to create their own version that meets their needs.
Please keep sharing feedback and ideas!

The status of this item has been moved back to Under Review. We initially planned to move to VHDX support as part of our support for HyperV Gen2 VMs, but we ended up using the VHD format for Gen2 VMs as well. Some aspects of the Azure Infrastructure do not cleanly support VHDX OS or data disks. So this feature is dependent on some of these internal services being updated which is an ongoing process.
