+1 on this and the inability to move certain resources between groups after creation essentially makes Resource Groups unusable as something we can rely on.

I have to manage a number of different environments and would like to be able to leave a few rows/columns free between their to better differentiate them. As the tiles tend to have such little information on them, this is really important for ensuring I'm looking at the right resource!

I've done some further digging in to this.
Using Fiddler while loading the portal, there are a number of requests for database information to the following url:

sql2.ext.azure.com/api/Database/Get, the requests for my visible databases succeed with a 200. The requests the databases with the partial tiles results in a 400 Bad Request and the following extremely unhelpful JSON:
    {"message":"","httpStatusCode":"BadRequest","xMsServerRequestId":null,"stackTrace":null}

Hope that helps someone to look in to this as, with so many of my databases suddenly missing from the Preview Portal, I couldn't use it full time if I wanted to.

To add to this, I have 7 SQL databases,2 in North Europe,1 West Europe, 2 East Asia, and 2 East US. Until recently, they all appeared in the portal, now only the 2 in North Europe and the 2 in East Asia appear.
I had tiles for the West Europe and both US databases on the start board, the West Europe and one of the US database tiles just show SQL Database without the database name, as reported in the main post. The other US tile has completely disappeared off of the startboard.

All of the databases show in the Management Portal.

Thanks for the suggestion! We are actively working on the roadmap, and will share publically when we have a concrete plan. Meanwhile, it would be great if you could share with us what scenario are you looking to use sync for. If you would like to be contacted offline, do leave a message and I’ll get back to you. — Linda Wang

    Hey Folks,

We have made some great progress on this idea and most of our services today do support move resources across groups.

We are still working towards 100% support and while we do that it would be great if you can help us prioritize the missing services.

Please file individual asks on each service category present in uservoice and vote for it.

    Thanks,
    Azure Portal Team

The staging environments for websites have behaviour that would seem to fit this use case.
Could the websites implementation be ported over to Cloud Services? Would that be less work than reimplementing the feature from scratch?

Our apologies for not updating this ask earlier. Storage analytics at the container level is on our backlog, but is unlikely to be released in the coming year. Currently, account level analytics are available. In order to monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot an Azure Storage account, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/storage-monitoring-diagnosing-troubleshooting. In .Net you can now use the Analytics class to process these metrics. The API can be referenced at https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/microsoft.windowsazure.storage.analytics.aspx. For any further questions, or to discuss your specific scenario, send us an email at azurestoragefeedback@microsoft.com.

This is a very interesting idea! We would like to know what specific usage you have in mind – for example, are you continuously generating operational logs on-prem and would like an utility to easily upload these files into blob storage for further analysis, maybe using HDInsight? Please post your comments!
