Hi Nate,
Thanks for the feedback. This is currently not possible, and not in our roadmap. We will review the ask and post updates if the status changes.
Thanks,

This is in our backlog, but votes and comments about how you would expect this to work are very helpful to our planning/designing the feature so please keep them coming.
Also, for some scenarios in this space Access Reviews (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/governance/manage-guest-access-with-access-reviews) can be a good way of removing users who no longer need access, including those who don’t have accounts anymore. (Thanks Shawn for pointing that out for everyone!)

Thanks for submitting the idea! We’ve added this into our backlog, and will prioritize with other features. We don’t have an ETA at this point of time. For anyone who wants to see it sooner, please don’t hesitate to vote for it.

Thanks again for the feedback! We currently have a feature in the backlog that allows you to create a VM with an attached disk at the same time. We still need to prioritize it, so there is no ETA at this point of time. If you want to see it sooner, please don’t hesitate to vote this idea!

Thanks for the feedback! Attaching an existing disk not created in the Labs is doable today through ARM templates. However, we understand the experience is not ideal and plan to get it better. I don’t have an ETA though, given it needs to be prioritized with all the other items in the backlog. If anyone wants to see this feature sooner, please don’t hesitate to add your vote. Thanks!
