    Hi folks,

I have this update marked as “started” as we have 100 TiB available through premium and through limited regions for standard (see public announcement of this coming soon – should already be available).

For File Sync, we test with number of items (files/directories), as we don’t really care about file share size (it doesn’t affect the performance of sync – just upload/download). With v7, our current tested threshold (not a hard limit) is 50 million objects. This was done on ~20 TiB shares, but you should be able to go larger without issue.

We plan to continue to scale up this tested threshold with future versions of the agent as we continue to test.

    Thanks,

    Will Gries

Large file shares on standard tier (100 TiB) is already in public preview. https://aka.ms/lfs/preview in 14 regions since July, 2019.

    Check out documentation: https://aka.ms/largefilesharesdocs
We are getting ready to GA soon.

    Stay tuned!

This integration work is started. Log Analytics will be one of export options in diagnostic setting. It’s estimated to have public preview by Nov CY2019. Before this built-in connection is offered, you can refer https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/query-azure-storage-analytics-logs-in-azure-log-analytics/ to build short term solution to export logs to Log Analytics.

For any further questions, or to discuss your specific scenario, send us an email at azurestoragefeedback@microsoft.com.

    Hi folks,

We are evaluating what we can do to address this feedback and would very much appreciate your continued votes and suggestions on it.

One alternative to mounting the share on-premises over port 445 is Azure File Sync, which enables you to create a cache of an Azure file share on an on-premises Windows Server. Azure File Sync only sends data over the Azure Files HTTPS (using the File REST APIs). You can learn more about Azure File Sync here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/files/storage-sync-files-planning

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions!

    Thanks,

Hi Mike, Azure Storage is already available in UK. Is there a particular service or functionality that you are looking for?
