I believe your latest/current workspace is stored in a cookie, so the only way to do this today would be to use ‘inprivate’ sessions of the browser, or different browsers.
I’ll pass along the feedback to the team, anyhow.

Currently, you can add your users fro the ‘settings’ page and invite either LiveID or AAD users/groups to access the workspace directly from https://preview.opinsights.azure.com/
You can have direct agents and SCOM management groups that live in different subscriptions than the one the workspace is linked to. The only scenario that is limited at the moment is ingesting data from storage accounts (WAD data). We are investigating for how many this is important enough to allow cross-subscription reading of Storage accounts.

This is not currently on the roadmap for the ‘new’ assessment styles. We’ll watch the community for interest.
the old Configuration Assessment does have rules for Exchange, anyhow.
This is in our backlog. We will update as we make progress on the feature request.

The feature was delayed but has been picked back up and is now expected in late Summer 2020 as part of a project that will deliver several upgrades to the agents.
Great feedback. We are looking at potentially delivering a solution in this area. Thank you!

Thank you for the idea!
We will factor this into our MSP investigation.

As a hosted services provider, i monitor the following with one SCOM instance :
- Hardware infrastructure / Virtualization stack
- Multi-tenant SaaS (Exchange, Sharepoint, ...) infrastructures
- A few tenants large enough to deserve the hassle of cross-domain SCOM monitoring.
Things i like in OpInsights :
- Deploy advanced monitoring for SMB in a few minutes : check
- Give my customers access to their infrastructure health easily : check
- Make use of SCOM management packs : check*
Things i would love in OpInsights :
- Give my hardware infrastructure team a workspace with data from related agents and management packs only
- Give my SaaS infrastructure team another worskpace with data from related agents and management packs only
- Both of the above using the same SCOM instance.
I don't know if many are like me, but not having to setup another SCOM server and reconfigure my monitoring would make a big difference in adoption date (tomorrow vs 6+ months)
Your solution (one workspace for domain 1, one workspace for domain 2, one workspace for SCOM data of domain 1+2) does not seem very practical in my scenario.
Thanks for taking our feedback :)Anonymous shared this idea ·
