Azure Stack HCI

Azure Stack HCI is a hyperconverged infrastructure solution to consolidate virtualized workloads on-premises, with the highest levels of performance, scale and reliability. You can also optionally connect to Azure services for cloud-based backup, Site Recovery, and more. Azure Stack HCI solutions use Microsoft-validated hardware, from a wide-range of partners, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The solutions include support for new and emerging technologies such as NVMe drives, persistent memory, and remote-direct memory access (RDMA) networking.  The Azure Stack HCI solution can be managed using the Windows Admin Center; a modern, streamlined server management solution that integrates seamlessly with Azure.

  2. StorageMaintenanceMode should have optional flags for suspending jobs

    Enable-StorageMaintenanceMode should have optional features to fully suspend the rebuild, repair and rebalance for the time of the maintenance.
    I have noticed that after rebooting a server that should be in StorageMaintenanceMode, the S2D will start automatically rebuilding and rebalancing the storage even when the node is still in StorageMaintenanceMode. The rebuild and rebalance jobs also do NOT start in IsBackgroundTask=True mode having very bad performance hit to the environment. Since the maintenance is usually needed on all nodes and often require more than one reboot per node, this causes a huge impact on the system for every reboot.
