Azure Blockchain Service
Azure Blockchain Service is a fully-managed ledger service in Azure. It enables users to grow and operate blockchain networks at scale with simplified network formation, management, and governance. By eliminating the burden of building, managing, and growing the underlying network, Azure Blockchain Service empowers customers to focus on what matters to them—business logic and app development.
More details about the service are available in the Azure Blockchain documentation. If you have a technical issue, please open a post in the MSDN Blockchain forum.

More pricing options
There should be more pricing options for Blockchain Service.
It would be good to have an option of a consortium member who only acts as validator node.

Advanced genesis block settings
I'd like to configure the block creation time or set a different Quorum consensus algorithm (ie Raft). If we can't get block times to 1s this is useless for us. But if we can we are ready to sign up and pay $$ for a managed Quorum blockchain with 1s block times.

Adding users to the blockchain through an API
I am new to Azure blockchain workbench. I have created an application. Now I am trying to preform operations through REST API. I can create users using POST /api/v1/users. I get the userID in response. I am also able to verify this using GET /api/v1/users.
But when I use the api GET /api/v1/users/me it always gives me null values.
This is because Service Principal for Workbench is null. We can create new user but current user is always null. This is a third party article on the same: https://medium.com/@malirezaie/how-to-enable-programmatic-interaction-with-azure-blockchain-workbench-apis-56c0d95c79c0
But it doesn't work that way anymore so an official development…

Documentation for Azure Blockchain Service
The UI for Azure Blockchain service is poor and it is tough to use because of lack of documentation.
Make better documentation.

Blockchain: Dynamically vote on 'gasLimit' for newly created blocks
Newly created blocks in blockchain requires a vote to increase the limit, this makes it difficult to automate the process as default gas limit might be too low for certain scenarios. Dynamic voting system to increase the gas limit would be useful.

Anchoring the private chain to the mainnet
To provide extra security and confidence in the system, provide a tool to regularly (every hour / day / month) publish the hash and block height of the private chain on the main chain, ensuring no rollback can happen.

Option to pause the blockchain while in development in free tier
We get the idea that blockchain nodes are active throughout for validation but we must introduce some sort of mechanism to pause or stop the blockchain service when the applications are still in development phase.
The daily cost of the azure blockchain service is equivalent to a pack of smoke even within the basic tier of free trial.
How exactly technically is this cost associated in consumption if there was an option given to stop/pause?2 votes -

Not sure what everybody else is complaining about...
But I would really like to know how we fund an initial deposit of ether from the quorum poa chain this service provides that we can't quite edit or modify before it inits the chain. as in no genesis edits. I am being told to ssh in to the transaction node but all I get are access keys.
(This might be a merger of the advanced genesis edits and the documentation ideas!)
