  1. Automatically resolve alert option in Resource Health alerts

    Hi Team,

We could see Automatically Resolve alerts is available for all the alert types like Log Search & Metric but for resource health currently not available. Can you guys add this feature into to Resource-Health type of alerts well. It would be really help a lot if it's been added asap. Thank you!

  2. Service incident updates

If the Azure portal is down customer has to rely on Twitter. Can we offer a tool or dashboard dedicated to service incident and planned maintenance updates only

  3. databricks outages are not showing on azure status page.

Can an API call be used to integrate azure databricks outages into azure status page as well? We are having to go to databricks site to see azure databricks outages while azure status page shows nothing.

  4. Azure Active Directory alerts schema identification and could not see any tenant id

    1. We have configured service health alerts in Azure for E-Mail notification and Service now incident creation. There should be tenant id in the Notification e-Mail and in the payload schema too while triggering the action as webbook or Function app
    2. There is no create event to post some health advisory or planned maintenance event for Azure active directory Service, so that alert can be initiated at least for Dev environment to test the schema to generate the webbook event

  5. Include VM freezes in Azure Monitor and "Resource Health" blade

Currenlty, when a VM gets frozen by the platform, neither Resource Health nor the VM's Resource Health blade show this.
The freeze does get alerted by Azure Scheduled Events, however this requires additional configuration on VM OS level that needs to be done in advance.
It would be beneficiary to see freezes reflected in Resource Health, expecially when troubleshooting. After all, a freeze is a degraded health event.

  6. Persist refresh frequency drop-down selection

As of 3/15/2021, users can select a page refresh frequency. However, when the page is refreshed with one selected, the drop-down loads without this selection made. This is a bug because users have to update the frequency every time the page loads.

    Thanks

  7. Ability to decide severity of alert

There should be a way to decide the severity of the alert for Azure service health alerts.

  8. Resource Health Alert is alerting even when user initiated shutdown

I have configured alert to notify when VM goes to unavailable state. but i have unchecked Platform initiated / user initiated as reasons so ideally it should not send notification for user initiated shutdown . But we are still getting notifications for user initiated shutdown. we want to get notified only when VM goes down for unknown reasons.

  9. Disable Resource Health alerts to only Databricks VM

Customer has set resource health alerts to all resources group within a subscription for operator to monitor if there are any resource outage. Now, operators received many false alarm alerts since by nature Databricks will remove the cluster node (VM) when idle.

As checked, we can use action rule to suppress the alerts’ notification, but it will suppress all VM alerts instead of just Databricks VM.

If we set to exclude the resource group of Databricks, in future if there is new resource group they have to manually add them in the resource health alerts rules.

  10. Customize and Configure the relevant services in Azure status

Azure Status (https://status.azure.com/en-us/status/) shows all Azure Product and Services alerts. Is there a way to customize and configure the specific required Azure Services in Azure Status Link and to show the report.

  11. Templates for Azure Service Health

Allow us to save/configure templates for Azure Service Health. For MSPs in onboarding this enables a uniform way of attaching new clients, and for enterprises it ensures that Tenants, Subscriptions across environments are monitored and notified about service issues, advisories and planned maintenance.

  12. List the Services that are in Use per Subscription/Management Group in Service Health

For Enterprises using Subscriptions as a unit for scale and isolation, configuring Service Healths is quite a roundabout process where you have to list out the services, and then post this per subscription and thereafter configure.

Allow us to see what services currently are in use for the chosen Subscription/Management Group/Resource Group - Azure Service Health and choose what to monitor.

I.e.: Set Up Service Health: Choose Subscription: Contosto Production 1: Prepopulated with the Services that are in use inside of Contoso Production, and you can unmark/mark the ones you want or filter.

Portal experience is less than ideal and…

  13. Make Service Health Alerts More Timely

Service Health Alerts really are not very helpful today because we almost always find the issue ourselves before our Service Health Alerts notify us of the issue (and that's if the Service Health Alerts come in at all). I work for a major MSP and private cloud provider and we consider it a failing on our part if the customer notifies us of an issue before we are able to notify them. I'd like to see Microsoft strive for this same standard. Right now if I find what I think might be an Azure issue, instead of going to the…

  14. New Resource Type

While creating new 'Health alerts' and choosing service, there is no item that refers to 'Azure SQL VM.' I suggest a new Resource Type for this. Not everyone will be interested in getting notified with all VM's under a subscription in large organizations.

  15. The RRS Feed on Azure Status page does not seem to functioning.

The RRS Feed on Azure Status page does not seem to functioning. Also it does not allow for linking to the RSS Connector with in MS Teams.

It would be nice if this was functioning correctly so our teams could monitor any Status updates.

  16. When an outage takes hundreds of customers offline show that it is critical not just a warning level event.

Currently you have a major outage that has taken storage offline and cripple many (most?) users on UK South yet it is only showing as an amber, warning, level status alert on the board.

Short of the entire data centre being in flames how much worse does it have to be to be listed as “critical”? For a long time only storage had this flag with all the other services it had taken down with it showing as operating normally.

Unreliable or inaccurate information is worse than no information at all because it cannot be trusted.

  17. Severity for the activity log alerts hardcoded at Sev4

The Activity Log alerts are seemingly hardcoded at Sev4, and there is not property in the current schema https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/templates/microsoft.insights/2017-04-01/activitylogalerts to set the severity to another level.

Could the severity level of Activity Log alerts be configurable like the other alert types ?

  19. Impacts ability to automate Service Health Alert creation: ActivityLogAlertLeafCondition does not support containsAny

We have automated the creation of Service Health alerts for our subscriptions.

We are finding that the ActivityLogAlertLeafCondition object (and the New-AzActivityLogAlertCondition command) do not support the -ContainsAny option. This means that we now have an inconsistent approach to creating alerts where some must be created using templates and others using powershell.

In fact, this is not supported in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/az.monitor/new-azactivitylogalertcondition?view=azps-4.1.0 nor documented in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/templates/microsoft.insights/2017-04-01/activitylogalerts.

  20. Allow management group level service health alerts

Currently separate alerts need to be created per subscription. When teams are managing dozens of subscriptions, it would be much easier to have a management group level alert or even the ability to select multiple subscriptions when creating service health alerts.
