  2. List affected resources in health advisories

Currently Virtual Machine Health Advisories sends an e-mail to the subscription administrator informing the affected VMs of the advisory.
What if the affected resources (virtual machines) were listed in the health advisory itself? Instead of researching for e-mails, the management team can validate info in the portal, and plan migration accordingly instead of waiting for subs admin to find it and share.

Similar approach is already in place for Planned Maintenance, hence this is just a similar improve.

Example of current way it shows in Portal:
An upcoming hardware update will affect virtual machines (VMs) in East US 2, from…

  3. Show Service Health Alert with local language

Usually, the Service Health Alert has written by English only.
If the person receiving the alert is not fluent in English, response may be delayed.
It is very safe to have parallel notification in the local language.
We would like to be alerted and displayed in local languages where possible.

  4. Integrate Resource Health as an Activity Log alert condition

Since you can create alerts for Service Health It would also be great to have the opportunity to create an Alert based on all- or some resources health state in the Portal. The solution as it is right now, is to use Powershell commands and template files but this isn't very editable and far too complex in my opinion.

  5. Aggregate Azure Monitor Alerts in Azure resource health

The idea is to integrate these two. When something happens in monitor it should reflect the health state in Azure Resource Health as well

This is especially interesting when youre integrating with third party tools or develop something from scratch, you can have one API endpoint etc to show health state

  6. Update the service health status site in near real time when issues are detected.

Update the service health status site in near real time when issues are detected.
Recently my systems experienced an issue with KeyVault in USEast. After open a service ticket I was informed there were issues in this region during the time I was experiencing issues. Even days after the event there is nothing logged on service status via the Azure portal. Having near real time information allows us as customers to better guide our troubleshooting and inform our management. It is less efficient to have us open service tickets to gather this information. Of course, this assumes the service support…

  7. I would like you to improve Service Health alert notification for specification changes(Planned maintenance)

I would like you to improve Service Health alert notification for specification changes (Planned maintenance),
and to guide me in a way that users will notice by some means.

    <detail of request>
・information on changes to specifications has been communicated more than three months prior to the date of change.
・If I cannot follow the information from the history, please inform us again just before the specification change. (Currently, If the alert emails were sent before creating a target resource which will be planed maintenance ,
it could not receive the email which notice about planed maintenance.)

  8. Azure Service Health - allow choosing all resource groups

Is it possible to allow the selection of multiple resource groups when selecting services for alert notifications? i.e. alert for service 'storage' in multiple resource groups. Optionally add 'send to service owners' like Monitor options (emails owners, contributors & readers' of RGs

  10. make network connectivity health of azure datacenters visible on service health gobal map

The service health map shows only the health of the datacenters in all regions. Since azure datacenters are on robust private network, it will be assuring to have information about health of the private network Azure datacenters have with each other. Also, the fact that azure datacenters have dedicated connectivity lines is under advertised.

  11. Clearer Dashboard for Azure Health Status

I just recently learned of the site https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/status/ which has tons of great information for the recent availability status for each service in each region as well as recently reported/resolved issues.

I would like to see this in the Azure Portal under Service Health, or a link to this site because it has very useful information that I wasn't aware was available to me.

  12. Run the Microsoft Flow when the alert happened

I want to run the business workflow of Microsoft Flow when the service health alert happened.
to add the issue item to the issue management system.
like ServiceNow, SharePoint list, Dynamics 365 etc.

Currently, Azure IoT Central can run the Microsoft Flow when alert happened.

  13. Add "Other places you might find out about issues" text to the "Service Health - Service issues" page

A recent problem in UK South made my website / database unworkable. This (surprisingly to me) wasn't reported on the "Service Issues - Service Health" page. It was on the @AzureSupport Twitter feed and might have been on azure.microsoft.com/status. Knowing about these at the time would have saved me much stress and worry.

Please can you add a paragraph advising people that they might like to check these other resources on the "Service Issues - Service Health". page

  15. Ability to simulate alerts for testing

I would like to be able to simulate an alert being generated for testing. Currently you have to wait until an event happens before I can test integrations from the alerting.

  16. Is there a way to get alerts or configure alerts when there is an update on status page

If there is a new comment added in https://status.azure.com/en-us/status or status of any of the resource changes, we need to be notified. I am aware about the service health but that is applicable for specific resources. We would like to have alerts on the regional alerts

  17. Allow filtering for specific resource names in Service Health Alerts

I am a DBA. I want to be notified of Planned Maintenance and other Service Health Alerts for Virtual Machines, but only ones running SQL Server. I only have a few, and picking them by name would be sufficient for my needs (which is something I can do for Activity Log Alerts). I don't want to be alerted regarding our many, many other VMs.

I am sure there are many other use cases for people wanting to be notified only for a subset of the resources of any given type.

  19. date and time last updated

    https://status.azure.com/en-us/status

This page should show the last updated information by showing the clock
(date and time). Or else we may not be assured when the latest update was received from the backend teams.
