  1. Return real power state for AKS and Azure Data Explorer resources

Return the real/correct power state for "Microsoft.ContainerService/managedClusters" and "Microsoft.Kusto/clusters" resources from Azure Resource Graph. In fact, these properties already exists but return wrong value (we need to wait few hours to see the right power state of these services from ARG after poweron/poweroff).

  2. Azure Resource Graph should support Event Grid notifications

I think Azure Resource Graph should publish its changes to the Event Grid!

When a Policy evaluation change happens in the Azure Resource Graph it would be great to easily be enabled to react to said change. That's typically done in Azure by using Azure Event Grid events.

  3. Add querying of management groups using ResourceContainers

Include management groups in the results returned when querying the ResourceContainers table. At the moment this table only returns subscriptions and resource groups.

  4. Ability to query "Operating System" field

It would be helpful to be able to query the "Operating System" field that is available for Virtual Machines in Azure Ressource Monitor. Most of the time, that is the only field that tells us what Linux distribution+version is being used, because the other fields aren't populated.

  5. Azure Resource Graph

The resource type ' Microsoft.DBforPostgreSQL/servers/securityAlertPolicies ' is not available in Azure Resource Graph.

Also needs better documentation on what attributes can be queried and what not cannot be queried. The documentation lacks clarity on Azure Resource Graph API.

Thanks for providing feedback. We will review this type and get back to you as we get more votes on it.
Regarding the documentation, we have publicly documented which types are supported in ARG here:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/governance/resource-graph/reference/supported-tables-resources

You can also go to Resource Graph Explorer, and open the tables on the schema browser on the left side to see which properties are available for querying

  6. Visualize the topology & Data lineage

Add the ability to create a graphic Topology, Dataflow & Data lineage diagrams. This should use icons familiar to non technical Business Users. (like in Visio)

  7. Is it possible to fetch disk usage details through azure resource graph

Fetching disk usage details through azure resource graph will be useful in calculating the percentage of disk used among the total size. This will help in reducing the number of disks or change the type and subsequently plan effective cost management in storage.

  8. CIS summary

Having multiple subscriptions that need CIS hardening we would like to have the option to have a summary of the CIS blueprints that are assigned to subscriptions. Just like the one in the security center (regularory compliance) but for the blueprint(s) that can be created and can be assigned individually.

  9. Azure Resource Graph VLookup with external sources

Here is the Use case - My Organization has 100 Subscriptions and each Subscription is assigned to a Different team. I am having a mapping in excel file which says the team owning the subscription. Now my team requested me to send a report on the total number of IaaS machines owned by each team. Currently how I am doing is (1)run the Azure Resource Graph query to get count() of VM's across each subscription. (2)Download the results as a CSV file, (3)do a VLookup against subscription so that I get the team owning the subscription.(4) Generate Report.

    Instead, It…

  10. Add Subscription RBAC Management Access using ARG

Currently I am not able to find way to get details of the access control for the subscriptions to be queried using the Azure Resource Graph explorer.

Example: Requirement to have subscription Name, Group or user name, Access level (Owner, reader, contributor etc.)

  12. Support query AAD App Registrations and AAD Groups.

I would like to query to find AAD App Registrations and AAD Groups. We would use this to replace how we are automating orphaned app regisrations and unassigned AAD groups.

    Hi!

How would you expect to query this information and what are the scenarios where this would help you out?

For the former question — Specifically, are you looking to query using something like the following snippet below? We’d appreciate your feedback and further details.

    AADServicePrincipals
    | where id == “….”

  13. Resource Graph - support for Microsoft.Sql/servers/encryptionProtector

Support for subtype Microsoft.Sql/servers/encryptionProtector will enable us to query TDE configuration such as Microsoft managed vs. customer managed and Azure KeyVault configurations

  14. Ability to query arrays without specifying an index

Please introduce new operators like allof() & anyof() for array members query.

Today I have to specify an index if I want to query alertRules with a specific property value, ie:

    where type =~ 'microsoft.insights/alertrules'
    | where properties.actions[0].sendToServiceOwners == "true"

I would like a way to query if any or all items in the array are matching

  15. Azure Resource Graph - Caputure users/owners info for all resource types

It would be great to add ability to capture the user/owner information for all resource types in Resource Graph. Currently, for a lot of resource types, e.g., Machine Learning Services Workspace, etc., the user/owner information is not available in the resource graph. Which is a critical information a lot of customers are looking for.
