Please support deployment of Azure IOT EDGE Module to Azure Sphere devices
Please consider supporting .NET Core (background services), so this can be a more secure alternative to e.g. Raspberry Pi

These guys figured it out.
"Most IoT developers are probably comfortable with C" - its not a question of comfort, its the well-known and much discussed advantage of managed code over "unsafe" code. In C or, worse, assembler, its all too easy for even an experienced developer to blow his foot off. Just look at how many buffer overruns are to blame for the bugs in windows - likewise Heartbleed, DirtyCOW etc in open sauce code.

Specifically support for writing Azure Sphere apps with C# and .NET Core 3 would be nice for .NET developers. However, most IoT developers are probably already most comfortable with C. Supporting C# would add the benefits of .NET to Azure Sphere, although with a more limited memory space, it may be more difficult to fit .NET based apps on the Azure Sphere devices.
