Support for MS Storage Spaces (instead of dynamic volumes)
Storage spaces are a cool Feature on local Windows Server installations. But they are more than cool: they add many features which weren't available in past: e.g. thin disks, mirroring/parity volumes and more.
This should be the preferred method for DPM instead of dynamic disks.
One of the supported Features might be for using SSD write cache to get sync data from remote Servers as fast as possible (to make the backup time window as small as possible) and then writing that data back to very slow parity volumes.
A general config should be there per protection Group for defining the desired storage pool, desired resiliency Setting (simple/mirror/parity) and SSD tiering and SSD write Cache.
