Allow restore of backup of on-premise Hyper-v VM to Azure storage account as disk
Currently DPM and MABS allow you to protect on-premise Hyper-V VMs and retain in recovery services vault. The restore is allowed only on the on-premise Hyper-V server. In the scenario of completely lost on-premise infrastructure you can restore to on-premise even and even though the backups are stored on cloud you cannot restore to cloud.
In case of large VMs backup with limited network the restore might take days.
Would having option to restore the VM as disk to storage account help you in this scenario?
You can simply attach that disk to any existing VMs to get the required data faster or can deploy new VM itself using the restored disk.
If you think you are interested in one of the scenario, vote for the idea and lets us know in comments in what scenarios you would use this and why.

Strongly agree this point, its a nightmare if you lost your server it will takes ages to download again a VHD file specially if its a big file. There should be a way to restore it in a Azure VM as well. attach it in a disk in cloud or something.
