Add ability to make choice reg. SQL log truncation when doing host level backups
Add the ability to choose wether transaction logs are truncated (backed up) when doing host level backups of VMs where SQL Server is running. In former DPM version this choice was possible as documented in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/975354
According to DPM specialist DPM 2012R2 (and newer) is currently not implementing the IVssBackupComponents::SetBackupOptions API which would allow to control the log truncation behavior.
Business scenario is to be able to back up a VM, while still leveraging SQL backups via maintenance plans and not let the DPM backup interfer with SQL backups.
In earlier Windows OS Version (pre 2012) it was possible to tweak VSS by registry key to reach the goal.

This would be great as we have exactly the same issue. Hope this gets solved by Microsoft, as other Backup Software are still able to do that!
