multiple DPM Storage Pools
I would like to have multiple storage pools. Then it is possible to assign exlusive LUNs for a protection group.
This saves very much time in managing protection groups with many datasources / now I have to use custom volumes.2 votes -
Summary E-Mail Notifications
If there is any issue with the backup DPM sends out for each data protection member a single e-mail. This causes frequently mass e-mail. This vast of e-mail is mostly Spam. Since many things heal itself, e.g. after a temporary network issue/server reboot, etc. Please send instead a single e-mail if after a given time e.g. after one hour is an important event.

Application Consistent Backup for Guest Applications
Having to install a DPM agent directly on VM Guests is at best a very annoying/inelegant implement for application consistent backups inside a guest (for enterprises), and at worst a giant technical hurdle (for hosters with shielded VMs and/or inaccessible tenant guest VMs).
Please add some hybrid capabilities to the integration vss writer that can create app consistent backups for SQL, EXCH, etc...

Intelligence for backup extended to include Data Protection Manager to Azure
We would like to be able to have good summary information around backup where we don't have an Azure only solution. In a case where we are seeing a lot of growth around IaaS workloads that are not in Azure but are Windows server based where we use a lot of System Center for Monitoring, Management and Backup. It would be great to consolidate backup information from multiple customers where we manage their environment and need to meet in this case backup SLA's using DPM either D2D2VTL or D2D2Azure. Having a backup summary would allow at a glance to show…

Check if The Dpm CPWrapper Service is running when upgrading a DPM Agent and start it after the upgrade
Hi,
After the installation of an Update Rollup for DPM for Protected Servers that use Certificate Based Authentication the "DPM CPWrapper Service" is always disabled. The is also the case on the DPM Server it self. It would be nice if the installation package could check if the service is running and, if so, to start it again after the upgrade.

Add SharePoint workflows to item level recovery
Based on our testing and this thread https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/6280a3d5-97c8-4281-8177-fdc2b1b6d980/can-dpm-2012-r2-do-item-level-recovery-of-sharepoint-designer-workflows?forum=dpmsharepointbackup&prof=required
it appears that DPM 2012 can not restore workflows individually or even with their associated document libraries.2 votes -
Option to Move Inactive Replicas to Azure
Most of the time your capacity planning w.r.t storage goes out of window while planning backup storage, reason unforeseen growth. Saving every byte of storage become so critical to keep backups falling apart. Inactive Replica space is something which can provide some breathing space. Depending on retention schedules they can potentially occupy the space for months. While moving the Datasource from protection group to Inactive state, It would be great to have an option by which it will allow to move these Inactive Replicas(cold Data) over to Azure. saving costly on-prem storage.

Use of Azure file services for the DPM storage Pool in Azure
we should be allowing Azure file services to mount the drive in Azure DPM storage Pool and backup to that map drive.

better testing of dpm updates and redo how updates are installed.
Updates almost always break dpm. I cringe evey time we apply dpm updates. The process should be revamped.

Use Azure Vault as only repository
In this moment is possible use Azure Vault, into PG, only if I have a local repository. Now that DPM is supported on Azure I could choose, during planning, if use the local storage or Azure Vault but if the application request local storage is not good.

Improved BMR Recovery: Mount the backup to a share for direct access
The process to recover DPM BMR backups is tedious and slow. Having to first restore the backup to a share/folder, then either physically attach that drive to the server or create a SMB share and share it, and finally boot into WinRE to recover from that backup is a drawn out process that requires twice the time that it should due to the extracting the backup and then restoring and a drive/storage location large enough to store the extracted backup.
This could be accomplished far faster and with minimal changes by having DPM mount the backup to a share and…

DPM should be able to back up files and folders from a disk of any size
If I try backup folder (about 20 Gb) from 150Tb disk I don't receive any error. And don't get backup.
