To stop an AKS cluster, it is needed to stop all running VM instances in the AKS availability group. Right now there's no way to do this "on the click of a button", to solve this I needed to write a ShellScript (attached to the idea), which stops all running VMs. And this takes a while...
The idea is to add a "Stop/Start Cluster" button so we can better control the flow of our AKS cluster.70 votes
We use Azure Policy to ensure all our resources inherit tags from their resource group. Cost Center being the big one for our company.
This policy fails when AKS creates an additional resource group, and has been requiring us to manually intervene and apply the cost center tag.
In the absence of removing that resource group altogether, it would be great if in the interim, the MC_ Resource Group could have the option to inherit the tags from the AKS resource in the original resource group.38 votes
Looking for an option to choose Kubernetes Load Balancer as SKU Standard rather than SKU Basic either while creating cluster or post creation. Either way fine.
Limiting not to rollout large scale clusters3 votes
currently, for windows containers in aks, there is no network policy available, which means PODs can talk to each other, and we want to run multiple containers as multitenant in each pod, hence doesn't want pods security to be compromised. and due to the non-availability of network policy or integration with calico for the windows-based cluster, it is hard to implement security between pods.1 vote
We are working with Tigera (Calico) on this. Last month, we have released an OSS version for windows.
