The MMA agent when updated, should honor the settings already setup.
When you build a new server in azure, it will automatically come with the MMA agent extension. If you have a post installation script that is run when you build your servers that sets up a connection to lets say SCOM 2016 or 2019. The MMA extension will install the latest version of that agent and completely wipe out the settings you've already set on the agents. This should never happen.
This is extremely frustrating when you've setup the agent to disable the APM flag, which AFAIK has still not been fixed for all versions of .NET, having this flag…

Add Usage metrics to Azure Monitor for Container Registries
Currently, Azure Container Registry exposes the following metric via Azure Monitor:
- Run Duration
- Successful Pull Count
- Successful Push Count
- Total Pull Count
- Total Push Count
Through the portal it's also possible to see the usage quota included in SKU and space used by repositories.
Please expose Usage metrics in Azure Monitor.3 votes -
Modify Monitor Alerts limitation on Update Management
Currently Azure Monitor Alerts for update management do not support custom subject line on emailed alerts.
We're looking to include VM name for the failed patches(VMs with failed windows/Linux update) in the subject line of the alerts that's been emailed.3 votes -

Allow email notifications to be sent directly to Microsoft Teams
Right now the only way to send alert notifications to MS Teams is by either using a logic app or sending emails to a specific user then forwarding them to a Teams channel. Please consider implementing a functionality that will allow Azure alert notifications to be sent directly to MS Teams

Allow users to download End to End Transaction chart with events in Azure Portal
It would be really helpful if we allows users to download the end to end transaction chart with series of events in Azure portal. Right now it is read only and only wait to get it printed is through Analytics screen, but from there we will loose the visualization which shows time division by events,

Add the country code +32 (Belgium) for SMS alerting
SMS alerting integrated into a full monitoring solution is great but should include more countries. Please add +32 from Belgium

Metric Display Name and Threshold Name are confusing.
I found that there are differences between Metric Display Name and Threshold Name for alert setting. E.g, about ExpressRoute, Metric is BitsInPerSecond but Threshold Name is CountPerSecond. I know those names mean same value. I think it's very confusing. I hope those name will be same name.

Please Have Autoscale Activity Log Show the Actual Rule That Triggered the Autoscale
Please have Autoscale's Activity Log show the actual rule that triggered the autoscale event. Currently, it only shows profile but not actual rule.

Azure Storage capacity metrics update hourly
Azure storage metrics are only refreshed daily (every 24 hours) even though they are sent hourly. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/blobs/monitor-blob-storage-reference#capacity-metrics
This means that any alert configured on capacity metrics may trigger up to 24 hours after the threshold has been breached. Please change it to be refreshed hourly

User want to check the Disk throttling from the Metric
If disk throttling has happened, the user want to check it from the metric in Azure portal.

Support Event Hub GeoDR Alias as a Logging Destination
Geo Recovery DR Aliases are a tool that create a failover group between Primary and Secondary EH Namespaces.
Also, diagnostic settings can be applied to resources and can be streamed to Event Hubs as an endpoint. However, it is not possible currently to send logs to an Event Hub GeoDR Alias, that would end up in Primary Namespace, and would switch to Secondary namespace if the first is offline. Similar behavior of that of a SQL Failover Group.
This feature would be ideal and would solve the issue of resources not being able to write to an Event Hub in…

Ability to filter storage logs
When there are a lot of calls to the storage the new diagnostic settings can be a bit too verbose and thus create a lot of Log Analytics costs. In my case it was so bad that Log Analytics cost more than the storage itself. There should be an option to filter out some actions / users before the logs are being sent over to Log Analytics.

Configure Activity Log Diagnostic Settings Via Powershell or CLI
Currently the only method is to use ARM to configure diagnostic settings for activity log
As documented in here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/platform/diagnostic-settings-templateThis is important feature, we always need the configuration for compliance reason and send the activity log to storage account.
It will be helpful if we can use powershell or CLI to do the configuration, in legacy approach, we do have options to use Add-AzLogProfile (storage account and event hub) and New-AZOperationalInsightsAzureActivityLogDataSource (log analytics workspace)

Disable Edit mode for Read permission Workbooks
Hi Guys,
i'm putting this issue on the UV based on this article.
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/azure-sentinel/protecting-mssp-s-intellectual-property-in-azure-sentinel/ba-p/1420941I am working for MSSP and we want to protect our workbooks .In this article they mention that you can "protect " your workbook IP, by deploy it to your own Tenant, but what if the customer want to see in the data and the visuals , they still able to see the queries, which is in our case for us part of our IP. Give only Read permission(Azure Sentinel Reader or Log Analytics Reader Role) you still be able to EDIT the workbook, this is…

Support a Workbook parameter type of "Result Set"
When building a notebook in Azure Monitor, it would be useful to have a parameter of "Result Set" that could be used as a base query that represents the set of data shared by multiple query controls within the workbook

Include resource display name in Common Alert Schema
It would be extremely useful if the Common Alert Schema included the case sensitive name (display name) of the resources it applies to rather than just the resourceIds (in alertTargetIDs).
