  1. Azure monitor - Include tags in webhook payload

It would be useful to have resource tags included in the webhook payload when generating an alert. It will add additional context.

    Thanks

  2. Azure Monitor Alert Rules in customizable timezone dates instead of UTC

Have Azure Monitor alert emails contain the dates in a user customizable timezone instead of UTC.

  3. App Service Plan storage monitoring

We would like to set up a metric alert that fires when the File system storage of an App Service plan is reaching its 80% limits.

  4. Support action groups as an action for an alert rule

Support Microsoft.Insights/ActionGroups as an action for a Microsoft.Insights/alertRules

Action groups are supported elsewhere in Azure (e.g. Log Analytics and Azure Monitor) but not in Application Inisghts. It'd be great if we could use our action groups as a way to encapsulate our response to alerts from App Insights, OMS and Monitor.

    Is this on the roadmap?

  5. Microsoft-Windows Diagnostic-Performance

We want to monitor the health of our workstations using Azure Monitor. One of the most important metric to start with is the boot time that resides in the event log. Currently Azure Monitor does not collect the event log named "Microsoft-Windows Diagnostic-Performance".

Can you please add this event log in Azure Monitor?

Thanks for the valid suggestion. Your feedback is now open for the user community to upvote & comment on. This allows us to effectively prioritize your request against our existing feature backlog and also gives us insight into the potential impact of implementing the suggested feature.

  6. Make it possible to modify automatically generated VM Insights alerts.

The new VM Insights experience is great, and fills a void in VM monitoring. Now we can finally get an overview of full disk etc.

We would like to modify or add the alertrule for these alerts to get notified on Teams/Webhook/mail etc.

  7. Rework the standard support e-mail

The standard e-mail is not very good.

    1. I have 6 different subscriptions to monitor. There is no way of knowing which subscription has triggered the alert, unless i memerize the GUID for the subscription.

    2. Rule ID: Same thing. Use the name of the sub instead.

    3. The link in the e-mail points to "the portal". Just the default page. Is there no way to point the user to at least some other page, nearer the actual error?

  8. On app service performance counters for TCP connections, don't filter by TCP state, instead show a line per type

Under "Diagnose and solve problems" > "Metrics per instance (Apps)" > "Perf Counters" > "TCPv4\ TCPv4 Connections Established"

    It describes the graph as...
Connections Established is the number of TCP connections for which the current state is either ESTABLISHED or CLOSE-WAIT.

Can you instead show a line per state so we can understand if there are connection issues. And don't filter on just the above 2, show all.

Also, the description has "CLOSE-WAIT" as what it is showing, but the state in TCP is actually "CLOSEWAIT", is there a possible bug with the filter and it is actually not

  9. Azure Alerts - More Parameters for Webhook JSON Payload

In log alerts, there's a fixed list of parameters defined for Webhook JSON payload.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/platform/alerts-log-webhook#sample-payloads

Can Azure add more parameters to it from search results?
For example: Caller (user who triggered the alert), App/Resource name (for which the alert was triggered), etc.

  10. The documentation for the metrics in Azure need to be documented in a much better way as it currently is close to non-existant.

Documentation is desperately needed for the metrics in Azure. For example, the Response time avg graphs in Metrics, Performance, Live Metrics, etc.

I would like to know exactly where they start to measure and when the measurement ends.

  11. Add possibity to disable mail notification when a new action group is created

When you add email recipient to action group this recipient will obtain mail notification "You're now in the ... action group".

There is no possibility to disable it. It is annoying when environment is scripted and deployed multiple times.

Please add possibility to supress this notification.

  12. 1 sms/5 minute limit needs to increased/removed for user friendliness in services.

In case of VM restart alerts,The 1 SMS / 5 minute limit needs to be increased/removed in order for the service to be useful.
What is the reason behind this limit?

When we initially shipped this feature the rate limiting was 1 SMS / 1 minute. Customer feedback was that 1 SMS was enough to alert the user that they need to log into the portal to investigate what’s going on. The other SMS were just noise.

We have to have a rate limit in place for telecommunications regulatory reasons. A lot of countries regulate how many SMS may be sent to a particular phone number per-minute. If a sender exceeds that limit wireless carriers will blacklist the sender.

  13. Add an option for a demo of service health alert

Currently, there is no demo option for service health alerts, and an user can receive alerts only when an actual incident occurs. However, some customers would like to check if the alert works properly before configuring it in a production environment. Therefore, it would be great if the user could fire a service helth alert as a test.

  14. Modify Monitor Alerts limitation on Update Management

Currently Azure Monitor Alerts for update management do not support custom subject line on emailed alerts.
We're looking to include VM name for the failed patches(VMs with failed windows/Linux update) in the subject line of the alerts that's been emailed.

  15. Azure Quotas API/cmdlet

Monitor the limit and current use of Azure services using API or cmdlet (currently only available for compute, storage and networking resources using Get-AzVMUsage, Get-AZStorageUsage and Get-AzNetworkUsage) in order to generate alerts before reaching the limit of use / quota

  16. Allow users to download End to End Transaction chart with events in Azure Portal

It would be really helpful if we allows users to download the end to end transaction chart with series of events in Azure portal. Right now it is read only and only wait to get it printed is through Analytics screen, but from there we will loose the visualization which shows time division by events,

  19. Add the country code +32 (Belgium) for SMS alerting

SMS alerting integrated into a full monitoring solution is great but should include more countries. Please add +32 from Belgium

  20. Metric Display Name and Threshold Name are confusing.

I found that there are differences between Metric Display Name and Threshold Name for alert setting. E.g, about ExpressRoute, Metric is BitsInPerSecond but Threshold Name is CountPerSecond. I know those names mean same value. I think it's very confusing. I hope those name will be same name.
