  1. Time range for Metrics Explorer

Currently we could not display the over 30 days of metrics graph at once.
If we want to display 93 days, we cannot display at once, so display at multiple times. I want you to support display the graph in maximum 93 days.

  2. "Health" feature support for Windows Server 2012 R2

Is there a road map date for supporting the "Health" feature for Windows Server 2012 R2?

  3. Change Activity Logs to store last n events

Today, Activity Logs retain the last month activity only. Although they can be exported to Log Analytics, missing activity history can lead into high security issues, especially for resources created long time ago. I suggest to change the way of working of Activity Logs to store (forever) the last n (e.g. 100?) events.

  4. Add possibity to disable mail notification when a new action group is created

When you add email recipient to action group this recipient will obtain mail notification "You're now in the ... action group".

There is no possibility to disable it. It is annoying when environment is scripted and deployed multiple times.

Please add possibility to supress this notification.

  5. 1 sms/5 minute limit needs to increased/removed for user friendliness in services.

In case of VM restart alerts,The 1 SMS / 5 minute limit needs to be increased/removed in order for the service to be useful.
What is the reason behind this limit?

When we initially shipped this feature the rate limiting was 1 SMS / 1 minute. Customer feedback was that 1 SMS was enough to alert the user that they need to log into the portal to investigate what’s going on. The other SMS were just noise.

We have to have a rate limit in place for telecommunications regulatory reasons. A lot of countries regulate how many SMS may be sent to a particular phone number per-minute. If a sender exceeds that limit wireless carriers will blacklist the sender.

  6. Rework the standard support e-mail

The standard e-mail is not very good.

    1. I have 6 different subscriptions to monitor. There is no way of knowing which subscription has triggered the alert, unless i memerize the GUID for the subscription.

    2. Rule ID: Same thing. Use the name of the sub instead.

    3. The link in the e-mail points to "the portal". Just the default page. Is there no way to point the user to at least some other page, nearer the actual error?

  7. Export activity log (PREVIEW)

The subscription drop-down selector for the "Export activity log (PREVIEW)" blade should mention clearly that the customer must select the Log Origin subscription from it, and that it is not affected by the subscription Filter from the previous blade (the Activity Log blade).

  9. Make it possible to send an email with the configured screen automaticly

When I defined metrics I would like to be able to create an automation job which sends the metrics I just defined periodically to some emailaddress (weekly/monthly).
Reason is that I want to inform users who use the specific resource without gining them access to my subscription.

  10. Creating new alert rules not working

Cannot create new alert rule (reproducible in most recent Edge, Firefox Win64 and Chrome Win64 versions):
    1. Navigate to https://portal.azure.com/#blade/MicrosoftAzureMonitoring/AzureMonitoringBrowseBlade/alertsV2

    1. Click on '+ New alert rule'

    2. Click 'Select Target' and fill the form on the right with valid values.

    3. Click 'Done'.

    4. Click 'Add criteria'.

    5. Click the cloud/raindrop icon on the right.

Notice that nothing happens, and the user is never shown the UI to set their criteria. Furthermore, an error is shown in the browser's Javascript console.

  11. Please Have Autoscale Activity Log Show the Actual Rule That Triggered the Autoscale

Please have Autoscale's Activity Log show the actual rule that triggered the autoscale event. Currently, it only shows profile but not actual rule.

  12. 32 character limitation on Monitoring setup

While creating the alert, the Name field does not allow characters > 32

However, editing the created alert name with >32 character name works fine.

  13. Ability to "Export as ARM Template json" on every azure resource.

I am spending a lot of time trying to recreate things for Automation that were created manually, like alerts. having the ability export as ARM template (in a similar way to dashboards) would save tones of time.

  15. Support action groups as an action for an alert rule

Support Microsoft.Insights/ActionGroups as an action for a Microsoft.Insights/alertRules

Action groups are supported elsewhere in Azure (e.g. Log Analytics and Azure Monitor) but not in Application Inisghts. It'd be great if we could use our action groups as a way to encapsulate our response to alerts from App Insights, OMS and Monitor.

    Is this on the roadmap?

  16. Have monitoring at an instance level for virtual machine scale sets

Right now monitoring for Azure VM Scale Sets is limited to aggregate values. It would be great to be able to see instance level metrics like CPU, RAM, etc.
The current workaround is to use a third party tool like new relic for this, but it would be good to have as a native feature

  17. On app service performance counters for TCP connections, don't filter by TCP state, instead show a line per type

Under "Diagnose and solve problems" > "Metrics per instance (Apps)" > "Perf Counters" > "TCPv4\ TCPv4 Connections Established"

    It describes the graph as...
Connections Established is the number of TCP connections for which the current state is either ESTABLISHED or CLOSE-WAIT.

Can you instead show a line per state so we can understand if there are connection issues. And don't filter on just the above 2, show all.

Also, the description has "CLOSE-WAIT" as what it is showing, but the state in TCP is actually "CLOSEWAIT", is there a possible bug with the filter and it is actually not

  18. Fix the monitoring of API calls, what does the rainy cloud icon actually mean?

I thought when I would click on the monitoring of my cognitive service I would see a plot with all the calls made over time, instead I see a rainy cloud, what is this supposed to mean?

  19. monitor export

We can see some metrics from Monitor Service.
But it doesn't have a export UI on Azure Portal against Metrics.(Activity log has export UI.)
Exporting these metrics is usefull for point of customer side system monitoring.
