When you add email recipient to action group this recipient will obtain mail notification "You're now in the ... action group".
There is no possibility to disable it. It is annoying when environment is scripted and deployed multiple times.
Please add possibility to supress this notification.3 votes
In case of VM restart alerts,The 1 SMS / 5 minute limit needs to be increased/removed in order for the service to be useful.
What is the reason behind this limit?3 votes
The standard e-mail is not very good.
1. I have 6 different subscriptions to monitor. There is no way of knowing which subscription has triggered the alert, unless i memerize the GUID for the subscription.
2. Rule ID: Same thing. Use the name of the sub instead.
3. The link in the e-mail points to "the portal". Just the default page. Is there no way to point the user to at least some other page, nearer the actual error?2 votes
Support Microsoft.Insights/ActionGroups as an action for a Microsoft.Insights/alertRules
Action groups are supported elsewhere in Azure (e.g. Log Analytics and Azure Monitor) but not in Application Inisghts. It'd be great if we could use our action groups as a way to encapsulate our response to alerts from App Insights, OMS and Monitor.
Is this on the roadmap?2 votes
This functionality is on our roadmap.

The subscription drop-down selector for the "Export activity log (PREVIEW)" blade should mention clearly that the customer must select the Log Origin subscription from it, and that it is not affected by the subscription Filter from the previous blade (the Activity Log blade).1 vote
When I defined metrics I would like to be able to create an automation job which sends the metrics I just defined periodically to some emailaddress (weekly/monthly).
Reason is that I want to inform users who use the specific resource without gining them access to my subscription.1 vote
