For a custom topic, it would be nice if http headers were passed through the eventgrid. This way extra information (like correlationid, token) could be passed through the eventgrid.

I too would like to know what's going on with this feature. Without it, we have to pass any custom header values through using the event data; a less than ideal solution.

I see this had been plannend and then unplanned, why is that? It is not addressed by https://feedback.azure.com/forums/909934-azure-event-grid/suggestions/34261981-allow-eventgrid-to-add-authentication-headers-on-r as suggested by Wessel Kranenbrog at all.

This one can be merged with https://feedback.azure.com/forums/909934-azure-event-grid/suggestions/34261981-allow-eventgrid-to-add-authentication-headers-on-r. In the basics, authentication headers are also headers.

Do we have any progress on add header to the custom topic. While subscribing to subscriber one must be able to add remove custom headers. This would take Event Grid to next level and make more mature in terms of security. Keeping secrets in URL doesn't make any sense. This is security threat Microsoft is keeping open for intruders. Please share updates if we made any progress on the same.
This would also help with traceparent and tracestate headers when working with microservices
