SSMS 18.9 intellisense is not working
SSMS 18.9 intellisense is not working. It does not find any column in any table. Both on a new install and a upgrade from 18.8 .
This is now fixed in the 18.9.1 hotfix: https://docs.microsoft.com/sql/ssms/release-notes-ssms#1891
I was having the same issue even with 18.9.1.
The fix was to Click on Edit->IntelliSense->Refresh Local Cache
Then restart SSMS.

I now have the message "Invalid column name" for every single column name in my SQL code. But I can execute the code without problems.
Before upgrading to 18.9 it worked as expected.
Did Microsoft fire all their QA personal? Recently every new version of BI software (VS, SSRS Plugin for VS, SSMS, PBIRS) has major bugs.

At this rate I project that the next release of SSMS will lose any ability to edit sql scripts.

Today (April 16th, 2021) I upgraded from SSMS 18.8 to 18.9 and now intellisense in SQL scripts is not working anymore. E.g. column names are underlined in red and column suggestions do not work anymore.
