SQL Management Studio 18 Screen Refresh Problem
When using SSMS 18, and switching between query tabs, sometimes the screen does not refresh/repaint and it continues to show the content of the previous tab.

This is a duplicate of 37474042. Let’s use that one to track it.

How do I delete/clear results windows/panes. Currently closing & reopening SMS 18.8
was hoping for a clear button or an 'x' in each pane. -

That fixed it for me. Unchecking only the Hardware Acceleration box didn't fix it.

The below, from Anonymous, appears to have fixed my problem...
TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> ENVIRONMENT -> GENERAL
Then untick the following 2 checkboxes:
Automatically adjust visual experience based on client performance
Use hardware graphics acceleration if availableThanks Anonymous !!!!!
