Please add Database Diagrams back in SQL SERVER Management Studio
This was completed in SSMS 18.1.
Caveat: there is still a known issue where diagrams created from SSMS on machine A opened with SSMS running on machine B would cause SSMS to crash.
This has been reported already and it is being investigated (it is just not as simple as I would like to be).

Matteo, this has been going on way too long. Are you getting any help and resources from management? In my testing I can see it's a monster and very complex, unpredictable and hard to replicate problem. Anything I can do, or contribute, I'd be glad to help, but your management really ought to be throwing a whole lot of support in your direction.

Not only created on machine A and opened with SSMS running on machine B cause SSMS to crash, if I created a diagram on machine A, save, close SSMS, Open SSMS and try to open the diagram, the SSMS still crashing, please fix this.

If I create a diagram and then the next day try to open it, SSMS will crash. Why can't they fix this?

I just tried SSMS 18.3.1. It opens diagrams created from SSMS 17.9.1, open new diagrams created under SSMS 18.3.1. It doesn't open those created under SSMS 18.2 version. For me, this is not much an issue, since I could not make much database diagrams with version 18, so there is almost no work to recover from this.

Could you add sort and filter on the grid result in SSMS ?
Please bring back database diagram support in SSMS 18.1. One of the reasons Microsoft database is popular its easy to modify data structure.
Microsoft, please bring back debugging in SSMS 18.1.

How about add into sql server a partitioning resource that would allow to create a partition by any column of the table?
I just installed back 17.9.1 for diagrams. Thank you for taking it back.
Surely someone can download the table config in one query so it doesn't take forever!
We are in the internet age now.. Azure SQL anyone??
As Nick B reports, diagrams created with V18.1 won't open the next time SSMS is opened. Trying to open a diagram closes SSMS to close silently.
Nick B commented
Glad it's back but any diagrams created with V18 will not open again once SSMS is closed. Older diagrams are good.
Please add back possibility to change names of each query tab.

MICROSOFT, please don't EVER remove diagram support. It should be improved, not removed. I'm using SSMS since SQL 2000's era, and this is the best tool for updating table structure on-the-fly without having to create a temporary table. I'm not a database administrator, I'm an active developer. Creating and maintaining database structure is FAST using SSMS.
Thanks for bringing back this Feature.

Please ... I need diagram for SSMS 8.1 ?
I opened 18.1 a couple of days after creating a database diagram and when I try to open it 18.1 crashes, It sometime restarts but other times it doesnt. I can create a new diagram but as soon as I try to open the existing one SSMS crashes. Don't know where to go from here.
