Data Migration Assistant - Save
Data Migration Assistant - Ability to Save projects and assessment results.
The DMA does not save/remember configured assessment/migration projects - once the DMA application is closed all settings are lost and need to be re-defined to perform another assessment.
Also the most recent assessment results cannot be viewed using the DMA application as they are not saved - the only way to "save" an assessment results-set is to export it to CSV or JSON, neither of which can be re-imported into DMA to use DMA to view the assessment.
We have a fleet of SQL server instances and databases we are looking to assess and upgrade - it is frustrating to have to redefine the DMA projects for all of these each time we wish to perform a re-assessment.
It would also be extremely useful if we were able to view the most recent assessment results captured by DMA when the application is started.
If DMA saved projects and the last assessment results for each project between sessions, the usability of this tool would be significantly improved.

I am surprised that this feature has not been included to date. I have seen this item being on the backlog for over a year now based on other threads and seemingly no action. Disappointing.

I quite agree it would be useful to have a real "save" option. In the meantime, it would be helpful to make it clear in the user interface that everything you're doing is only available for the current session, unless you export to CSV or JSON. Using the word "projects" is misleading. We all expect "projects" to be something we can save and reopen later and resume work on.
