Yet another with a wish to reinstate this. Words can't express how obnoxious this is.

Did You entirely lost Your compass? Obviously You want to exterminate everything useful, starting with DIAGRAMMING, now debugging. Are You crazy? Boxed in Your lab producing damage and developing unnecessary things, lost contact with users entirely. Shame on You. Ehm, better, let's face it: what else to expect from You?

i totally agree, the feature is proceless. so install 17.9.1 and get it done with.
they'll bring it back faster when no one installs the new (effectively useless) version -

Why did you remove this important feature? It is a very, very, very questionable choice.
Put debugger back.! -

for gosh sake ... this was one of the most useful things in SSMS esp for us intermediate devs. I use it every day. Now a person has to use SSDT? how about just recommending that, instead of forcing to use yet another app, and we have the debugger in SSMS as before in its lite weight format?
I will have to back track to v17 until this is fixed, real shame -

Please add the debugger back to SSMS 18 without this tool it will be very difficult to develop and provide support to others in my enterprise environment at work.

As a DBA I rely on SSMS and it's associated tools. If I wanted to spend hours adding PRINT statements to SQL code to determine code flow and find bugs - I would have stayed in the '80s. It's ridiculous to arbitrarily leave those of us, who have to write/debug [complex] code for ourselves and others, without an integrated debugging tool.
While I doubt anyone at MS is listening... I'm adding my voice to the growing number of SQL Professionals who want this tool returned.

This is very inconvenient for those using Azure SQL Managed Instances. We came to Azure, please do not make it harder on us.
