This is an essential feature. Why would you remove it? Put it back.

lol...
Maybe we should storm the MS buildings chanting we want the debugger back!
I'm pretty sure that would generate some attention in the states :')

The reason why Microsoft was succesful is because after unvailing Windows operating system, you unvailed programming tools with very good debugging tools such as Visual Basic, MS Access etc. Removing debugging tools in your SSMS means we cannot debug any programming tools inside new MS SQL database. Basically you are pushing developers to other databases and open source solution. You are basically pulling the plug on Microsoft.

This is absolutely agonizing! Please restore the debugger - it's absolutely essential. It's not feasible to install Visual Studio on my client's machines to debug SQL issues.

For extensive stored procedures f.i. importing foreign data it is very hard and cumbersome to find out why the code does work for some tables and not for others without debugger

SSMS Debugger should be a no brain er. Why it was removed in the first place is beyond me.

Put it back please... many clients can't download and install at least 9 GB VS.NET Community for just having debugging option for T-SQL codes... Really stupid decision !
Where are you Mr.Gates?! Please clean the mess

This might be one of the dumbest ideas I've ever seen. Prob a poor attempt to monetize by creating a new SSMS pro edition.
Put the damn debugger back mothersuckersThe other option is to move over to mysql...

I totally get it.
You have a feature that works great for 15 years and that is universally adored, so naturally you have to put a stop to that nonsense.
PUT THE DAMNED THING BACK.
